Overview

What You'll Love: quick, comfortable, supportive

The Nike Air Zoom Vapor Pro takes the best features of the shoe it replaces (the Vapor X) and adds a new upper for the speediest Vapor yet! Dual layers of support with a stretchy inner sleeve and a layer of durable mesh assist in support and breathability while the asymmetrical lacing system hugs your feet when moving laterally. The Zoom Air unit in the heel offers responsive cushioning underfoot while the generative outsole pattern enhances explosive directional changes.

  • Upper: Stretchy internal sleeve and mesh for 2 layers of support; breathable. Asymmetrical lacing hugs feet during lateral movements.
  • Midsole: Zoom Air unit in heel and soft foam midsole for responsive cushioning and a low to the ground feel. Full-length foot frame on lateral side adds stability.
  • Outsole: Generative design for traction when changing direction; thicker tread in high-wear zones
  • Colour: Black / Bronze

Comments: I have medium to wide-sized feet, size 11 in sneakers and athletic shoes, and these fit perfectly in size 11. I typically do not like a high-cut shoe or tons of support because I have reasonably thin and flexible ankles, so this low-cut style is perfect for me. I also find them to be optimally supportive, contrary to some other reviews I have seen and read. I appreciate the minimal approach to these shoes. They are not unnecessarily bulky like many other tennis shoes. You can feel the court nicely, and they translate your footwork without much bother. They are good shoes. I plan on running this pair into the ground and buying another pair next year.

Comments: Nice shoes, but not comfortable at all.

Comments: The best features are the shoe's light weight and fit. Shoe has typical Nike fit like a glove. The only downside is the plastic insert makes in a little stiffer than I would prefer in the midsole. It has more flexibility than last year's version, but definitely bigger insert than the shoes of 4 or 5 years ago in this line. I would prefer that size of insert.

Comments: Played one time in these, then just wore them as casual shoes. A month later sitting at my kids baseball game I notice the mesh on the outside of the shoe was ripped! From what? Just walking around? The tongue has no padding, nada, paper thin, laces hurt my feet right away. Probably a good match shoe as they are low to the ground and light. Can't imagine them lasting very long.

Comments: There is a seam inside the shoe that irritated my baby toe. I tried taping my foot rub still occurs. I wore 2 pairs of socks still have the issue. I ended up giving away the shoes.

Comments: Too narrow and too long. I have been wearing Nike size 11 shoes for years. My previous shoes were the Zoom Vapor 9, 9.5,and X. Those previous models fit me perfectly! Recently, I bought other size 11 Nike shoes and found that they fit lengthwise but were very narrow in the front and hurt my feet. I got my feet scanned at the local Nike store and their Nike app said my feet were average width and recommended size 11.5. So I ordered this shoe from the Tennis Warehouse in size 11.5. But I still find it too narrow and the shoe is too long and leaves quite a large gap lengthwise. I am very disappointed and I am reluctantly going to try another shoe brand like Asics. Hopefully they will fit me better.

Comments: The tongue on this shoe is really thin and the laces can dig into the top foot area a bit. I went a half size smaller as I usually do with the Vapors. Break in period was a bit longer as I needed about two or three 2hr sessions but now feels like a glove. I played 1x a week, 2 hours each time, and has lasted 5 months. Now looking to replace.

Comments: I came from the Asics FF2 and previously Vapor 9s. These are narrow shoes so be warned! They remind me of the Vapor 9s in that they're like running shoes with lateral support. The upper is firm and takes a bit of breaking in but it keeps my foot in place. They don't feel as stable as the Asics but they are quick and I don't feel like my feet will roll because they're low to the ground. The cushioning is minimal but that helps keep the shoe light, fast and low. The toe has a bit of extra length to prevent jamming but that doesn't mean you should get a smaller size. I'm happy I bought these and would get a second pair.

Comments: I have been wearing Vapor series from 9 to X and still have many pairs. I think 9 and 9.5 are the best; I can wear them on clay or hard court no matter of the outsole type. But with X version, the hard court outsole grips too much on clay, which caused ankle injury. Now with Pro, it makes it worse for me; the heel cup is little to shallow, my heel comes out even with tighter lacing. Luckily, I have still version 9.5s and some Xs.

Comments: This shoe is by far the best Nike tennis shoe there is. It provides comfort and durability while also enhancing performance. I bought them in Mid-January, and in April they are still working for me.
