With this update to the 696, New Balance has kept the lightweight comfort this line of shoes is known for, but with increased ventilation, and a new tread pattern which will perform well on all court surfaces. The synthetic upper has more perforations than before to offer superb ventilation, without sacrificing support. The EVA midsole gives a comfortable, and plush feel underfoot, while the outsole has been updated with a multi-directional pattern which will offer plenty of traction on all court surfaces. The New Balance 696v4 continues to be a nice choice for the casual player looking for comfort, ventilation, and a speedy-feel, all at a great value.
