Comments: Long story short, this is probably one of the most comfortable and supportive tennis shoes I have ever worn. However, there is a caveat that nearly made me want to return the shoe, and that's getting it on your foot. I'm the kind of guy that likes to slip my shoes on and only re-tie them if necessary. With tennis shoes, I will tend to re-tie them more often as opposed to my usual walking sneakers. Getting them on the first time was a chore. You know how you buy a new pair of shoes and have to loosen all the laces and even then, you feel like you have to force them in like many of the Nike tennis shoes? This was worse, however, if you use the provided shoe horn, it definitely makes things easier. However, once I got them on, it felt really comfortable and didn't feel stiff like wearing the older adidas Barricades. I do recommend wearing crew socks with these because the shoe itself is on the bigger side, although this is purely a vanity reason. I didn't feel like I had to break them in as much and honestly, it felt right the first time. Again, the only challenge is getting them on, otherwise, this is a fantastic tennis shoe. It's a shame I couldn't get more time with them due to the recent pandemic, however, once I am able to get back on the courts safely, these will be the first pair of shoes I take with me.

Comments: These shoes are amazing. My only problem with them is how long it took to really break them in. It took me more than a week of playing at least two hours a day to break them in. They were tight from the beginning, and have stayed tight for months.

Comments: Great shoe, but totally tight like they say the first two to three hours playing, but then they fit comfortably. I'm on the edge of having wide feet, so if you have really wide feet, I don't think they would work. A little heavier, but love having a little extra ankle support. Just be prepared for people to call them space shoes. Very glad I tried them.

Comments: First, here's what I appreciated about this shoe. The design looks great online, but even better in person. The outside texture is slick, and the mint and gray color looks awesome. People definitely worked hard on designing this shoe. Great job taking risks, adidas. It definitely turned heads around the tennis club. Features that I struggled with were the shoes were not breathable, my socks and feet were soaked by the end of the session. The heel felt loose inside the shoe, and they felt very tight on my toes and top of the shoes. Finally, the incompatibility with orthotics. Most tennis players have their own custom orthotics that they play with, it was near impossible to insert mine. I played with the shoes once, and I returned them only because they were uncomfortable. I wish they were breathable and wide enough to fit my feet and orthotics. If I could give it a score, I would give look a 5 out of 5 and comfort a 1 out of 5. If I'm not mistaken, I believe this shoe is the first generation of it's kind for adidas Tennis, so I'm sure the next versions will improve. Once again, good luck to adidas, and thank you Tennis Warehouse for great customer service. Enjoy your time on the court, tennis family.

Comments: I think there is a reason that none of the pros are wearing this shoe. Would not buy again, foot was moving around too much.
From:Mark, 2/25/20

Comments: I bought these because they look like they'd give me some ankle support and I like high-tec. But it took me ten minutes to get one on my foot with a lot of struggle. So I returned them.

Comments: This is a great looking shoe that operates exactly as advertised. It's incredibly secure with the same great contact with the court that you expect from adidas. I do not move and slide nearly as well as my 17 year old son, but we both appreciate the overall feel of this fantastic shoe. I'm a little heavy and stress these shoes more than him as well, and we both agree it's one of the most locked in feel we've ever had.
From: Robert, 2/10/20

Comments: I had to return my pair because after playing a three hour long match with them, I got blisters on both my feet. Usually, with my other shoes they won't hurt my feet, but after that match I could not play for two days. Even three weeks after the blisters have not fully recovered. It might not have been entirely the shoe's fault, but it definitely gave me a bad experience. Honestly, the shoe feels pretty good after walking out on the court for five minutes, but after some time your feet will start feeling the affects.

Comments: I've had these shoes for about three weeks now and they're definitely unique. Once you find the right fit, I had to go down a half size, it really feels plush and supportive, almost like a high top basketball shoe but not as synched down in the foot. I'd recommend trying them so long as your feet aren't two different sizes because there's no ability to tailor the fit per foot. Also, it's worth noting that these are heavy, all the stability and high-top esque support has to stem from somewhere, and adidas did it by making these shoes beefy and heavy. 8/10, these are interesting shoes, worth a try, supportive, but much heavier than similar offerings by other companies.
From: Ian, 2/6/20

Comments: When I first saw these, I loved the non-traditional look of these, while others at the club said they were either ugly or looked like basketball shoes. I like the more modern and out of the norm look of these. As soon as I tried them on, loved them. As the video, and previous reviewer mentioned, a bit tough to get them on the first time. However, once on, my feet sit low in the show and offer connection to the court. Very stable laterally. Shoes widen out in the forefoot so I love that because I have wider feet up front. Comfortably snug with a sock on. Coming from SoleCourt Boosts, prefer these due to the locked in feel and connection to the court. Well done by adidas. These will be my go-to shoes now.

Comments: This is my favorite tennis shoe I've ever owned. I was doubtful at first of the laceless construction until I slipped them on and felt how snug they hold your feet. Once on the court, the shoes disappeared and I just felt completely connected moving around the court. It is stiffer in the mid foot than most shoes I've worn before which I really like. As mentioned in the videos about these shoes, they will be difficult to get on the first time. They broke in nicely after the first couple times wearing them. I will likely buy the clay court version as well.
